Sravasti Abbey exists solely on the offerings of kind supporters. More than 1000 donors from 21 countries made contributions to support the Abbey's programs and the "Step Towards Peace" building project last year.
You'll find "Step Towards Peace" project expenditures, updated regularly, on the Project Budget page. You can download the 2008 Annual report here.
All the activity of operating and maintaining the Abbey is offered by residents and volunteers. Because monastics live simply and have few possessions, the costs for maintaining the community remain relatively low.
