Like the countless golden threads that inhabit a field of corn,
and the vast number of raindrops that comprise a single ocean.
Or the multitude of shimmering stars that inhabit a midnight sky,
and the myriad particles of stone that make up a single mountain.
Like all of these things, multiplied by millions,
are the benefits of the monastic community of Sravasti Abbey.
Just by hearing the name, Sravasti,
or by witnessing the pure action of it's community,
or by hearing the nectar-like teachings taught within,
may countless beings awaken their heart to Bodhichitta,
and may endless oceans of souls realize Buddha nature.
May the contribution of one prayer, given with a humble mind,
be the cause for countless rebirths in a precious human life.
May the contribution of one deed, done with joyful hands,
be the cause for countless hearts to awaken to compassion.
May the contribution of one penny, given with a pure heart,
be the cause of the enlightenment of countless sentient beings.
For no deed, when done for the benefit of others,
fails to manifest its merits in glorious ways.
May Sravasti Abbey, the nectar flower atop the hill,
continue to bloom with vibrant petals of truth,
and may we each cultivate the deepest wish
to water and to tend, so that such glorious blossoms
continue to grow.
